Space to improve – Optimized Transport
By adapting the geometry and improving stackability, the transport space is used 50% better. Freight forwarders appreciate one ton less weight per transport and significantly lower fuel consumption.
I have been working in logistics at SULO for many years. What has happened over the years in the development of the bins also has a noticeable effect on our daily work. We can fit more bins on the loading area thanks to better stacking and simply send the truck from the yard with more load. The entire order reaches the customer faster and our colleagues have to make fewer fuel stops.

In favour of environment and convenience - bins in top form
Through design and state-of-the-art process technology, SULO developers were able to achieve a controlled weight reduction. The total weight is only 12.3 kg, which is 25% less weight than before with noticeable effects:
- less recyclable material used
- less transport weight
- less weight for refuse collectors
The reduced weight of the CITYBAC 360 l has a positive effect on the workload of the wasteworkers and the handling of the citizens. A wasteworker empties about 600 bins per day. If the weight of the bin is reduced up to 4.5 kg, each employee has to move 2.9 t less every day. All in all it´s about 25% less weight to move for the waste workers.
Nothing is lost – 100 % circular economy
All bins are fully recyclable and at the end of their lifecycle flow completely into the production of new bins. Our in-house extruders for recycled plastics enable us to specifically process resources from the recycling loop. This significantly minimizes the consumption of fossil raw materials, including the resulting CO2 emissions.
Mastering the material – 100 % recycled HDPE
SULO's material expertise is critical to producing high-quality bins from up to 100% recycled HDPE. With extruders and in-house color sorting machines, we are able to process post-consumer plastic from bottles and packaging. The rest flows in from sorted out old bins, canoes and industrial HDPE waste such as pallets and the like.
